Client: illfunction is a monthly event rooted in San Diego’s freestyle dance community, serving as a dynamic gathering point for dancers, creatives, and music enthusiasts across a wide spectrum of styles and genres. The event celebrates movement, individuality, and the shared energy of the local dance culture.

Responsibilities: My role was to design a cohesive identity system that authentically reflected the event’s vibrant party atmosphere and the diverse community it serves. The creative direction focused on capturing the fluidity, rhythm, and intensity of both the music and the dancers—translating the versatility of sound and motion into a visual language that feels energetic, expressive, and unmistakably alive.
