Role: Graphic Designer/Art Director

Client: Soulev8 is a weekly House Dance located in Koza a vibrant city in central Okinawa, Japan. The owner came to me looking to create branding that was memorable and original to help expand the brands awareness through Koza and attract more participants and attendees.

Responsibilities: Created a branding system based off of clients request of wanting a look that was welcoming and inviting, but also original and memorable. For the logo, the client provided inspiration drawing from neon signs at club/bar venues and wanted something more organic than the previous logo, which felt a little static. This was a rebrand project so the strategy was to upgrade and revise the previous branding to something more relatable to the target audience as well as reflect more movement within the logo. Client is located in Okinawa, Japan where there is a small, but passionate community for House Music/Dance events.
